LOVE the new picture! i am making myself crazy trying to figure out where it was taken--the 'choke?
hooray for being off the ventilator! what excellent news. for one thing, you can't blow a harmonica with a tube down your throat...so this is a great step in the RIGHT direction.
speaking of harmonicas i was thinking about how much fun we used to have teasing kelly about his needing to know what key a song was in--preferably BEFORE he was prompted to take a lead during it! i know kim and dennis used to announce a song's key to the audience as if it was necessary for them to fully appreciate the tune; and wasn't there one time when they used cue cards to let kelly know what key?
kelly has on a few occasions gone on stage with the wrong harp but he is a master at looking like he's playing along while not actually making any noise. whatever the key, can't wait to hear that "lonesome sound"--the freight-train-like wail that sounds as good as a wake-up call OR a lullaby. love you, kelly!
I'm pretty sure this is the Riverside Cafe' where this taken. I remember the cue cards to, I think it was a Matfield thing, but not sure. Just remember.
