Pencil Thin Mustache, Ricky Ricardo and More

Hi All. Kim on the keyboard again. I'm here with Dale and Marilyn. Dale is playing us gorgeous uke tunes...you know the ones.

Kelly got a new chair today. It is very cool. Kelly looks quite comfy sitting in it. There is a great view of the patio garden. You wouldn't believe all the color Marilyn has growing out there. One couldn't ask for a prettier view. Kelly's new chair is much smaller than the old one. That leaves alot more space for visitors (how is that for a subtle hint).

We all have something we can give. Whether you can give time, song, or other things...all of it is important. I'm proud to be a small part of this community of people that love and support Kelly and Marilyn.

Pick Up The Slack

Hello kids! It’s me again, Margaret…(tell me you’re a ray stevens fan)

It’s blog time, and marilyn is kickin’ her heels and getting Kelly ready for the big benefit! Or at least for a recording of it, as he’s gonna take the night off, but is looking forward to the recording…Kelly, marilyn and dustin are super excited, and so thankful for all the generous support being shown, not only in the organization of these benefit concerts, but to all of you who attend and share some of you for them…Shirl, the night nurse is coming in early, so that marilyn can come to the benefit and sing with me and Krista as “nikki and the nicorette’s” we’ve been throwing around a few tunes, and Kelly has made his pick of the ones he thinks we should sing, so we’re gonna take it on the road (well, the one named Indianapolis - just off of Washington, one block south of Kellogg)

Kelly is coming along as planned, making more progress each day, and I know he feels all of your thoughts and prayers…being in the state he is, I think he gets the benefits of knowing and feeling more than you and I will ever know…what an honor it’s been to be a part of his recovery, just giving him my day to day, to singing him my new tunes and waiting for the blessed blink, or the ‘it’s not ready yet’ closing of the eyes…

Anyhoo, for those of you who haven’t heard, the Bennett Brothers and friends are throwing a benefit this Friday night, june 15th at a warehouse at 902 E Indianapolis…see www.pickuptheslack.org (courtesy of our friends at howerton&white) for a map and more information! Should be an amazing time with all sorts of entertainment on and off the stage I’m sure, so come on by and tell your Kelly stories! ;-)
